SSO Presentation to LKIM

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Yahya Hussin launched the Hari Peladang, Penternak, Nelayan Sabah 2017 (HPPNS) convention at Grand Borneo Hotel yesterday. The event was organised by the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM)

Softwise Sdn Bhd CEO, Mr. Darren Lo, was invited to present our Supply Chain Shared Services and Outsourcing (SSO) concept to the participants. The SSO initiative has been successful in helping local SME entrepreneurs to market their products to a wider audience.

Mr. Darren encouraged the participants (farmers, breeders and fishermen) to put more efforts in bringing their products to the market. According to him, there is a strong demand for local products among the tourists and locals. The participants could work together as a community to upgrade their facilities and packaging in order to reduce cost and increase efficiency.

Mr. Darren looks forward to having more collaboration with the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry in the future.

Kaamatan Bazaar @ Center Point Kota Kinabalu

Center Point Sabah organised its annual Sabah Harvest Festival Bazaar between 13th May 2017 to 18th June 2017. The event was officiated by the Mayor of KK City, Y. Bhg. Datuk Yeo Boon Hai.

We were invited to showcase and promote Sabahan local made products as part of the Sabah government initiative under the Ministry of Industrial Development.

The Center Point Shopping Mall marketing effort was a great success as there were many visitors during the month-long bazaar. It was great to see that some tourists were curious about Sabah products.

Quite a number of tourists tried the Jus Bambangan (the yellow bottle showed in the images). If you are new to this fruit, here is how it looks like…

The juice is bottled by Rass Enterprise, from Papar, Sabah. The fruit is known to have great health benefits, including its anti-breast cancer properties according to UTHM scientists.

Rosmah Ajumarih (founder of Rass Enterprise) joined the Supply Chain Shared Services and Outsourcing (SSO) scheme in 2016. Her products are now available in G-Mart supermarkets across Sabah through the marketing and logistics efforts of the scheme. You can read more about the success story featured in Berita Harian.
