R See Mi Holdings Sdn. Bhd. is a Halal food processing company in Tawau, Sabah. It started operations since 1977 with the a headcount of only 8 staff. The main product of R See Mi Holdings is its famous dried noodle which is currently sold throughout Sabah and Sarawak.
The company is active in building its reputation and maintaining good relationship with customers through its focus in quality. Its vision to to become the best dried noodle in the Malaysia and internationally.
R See’s marketing strategy has brought positive results to its increased monthly sales. It needed to increase its production capacity and efficiency to meets the growing demand. In April 2016 the company went through a Lean Restructuring of its manufacturing process. A total of 12 activities have been identified and undergone analysis.
The results were impressive. The frying of noodles have been shortened from 12 minutes for one bundle of flour to only 6.67 minutes. The drying process has been reduced by 83% from 120 minutes down to 20 minutes.
After the Lean Restructuring, R See Mi Holdings Sdn Bhd successfully increased its output. It also reduced its wastage significantly and boosted the morale of its staff.
